Polling Station

Being a village without a village hall, or indeed a pub, where do we cast our votes?   We're probably not unique, but it feels like it, because we vote in a caravan!

This picture was taken early in the morning at the last Council election in 1999.   Sitting outside are the two polling clerks, waiting for the first voters to arrive. With an electoral roll of only 70 or so, they're not exactly rushed off their feet!
