Little Saxham

Parochial Church Council

The Little Saxham PCC looks after the finances of the Church and has a responsibility to ensure the annual quota is met. Our village has to meet 8% of the total quota, which in effect pays the Rector's salary and pension.

The Little Saxham PCC meets four times a year. The Rector (Father Peter Macleod-Miller is Chairman, the Secretary is Mike Burt and the Treasurer is John Taylor).

The two churchwardens, Hugo Smith and Kate Burt, are ex officio members of the PCC. They look after the fabric of the church, its contents and the churchyard.

The church electoral roll consists of those who 'habitually attend the church'. An annual meeting of those on the church electoral roll elects members and officers of the PCC. The roll itself is re-constituted every four years, to allow for people moving into or out of the village. It is not necessary to live in Little Saxham to qualify for the roll; it is only necessary to be a regular church-goer.
