The Jillings/Gillings family

John Jillings, farmer, who died in 1897, was a long-established and highly-respected member of the local community. The stained glass east window (large file - 780Mb) above the altar was installed soon after his death, paid for largely by public subscription.

A lengthy obituary and account of his funeral arrangements appeared in the Bury & Norwich Post, on 4 May 1897.
